Neolithic predynastic period C.5000-4000 BC. Uniform rich brown flint, about 2” length (1.95”). Wedge section with one face flaked to shape and the other of single cleavage (monoface) indicating that it had been shaped on the nugget then dislodged with a single break. A primitive and universal tool used for cutting, hide scraping and other tasks.
