Gilt bronze, 5/8” (0.63”) width, based on the earlier Viking heart amulets. Rounded top with pointe bottom, crenulated upper border and fleur-de-lys in the field. The lower quarters nubbed in the Viking taste. Clearly a throw back to the pagan era. Christianity was established but earlier mythologies were respected and blended, as are superstitions, today. Professionally refurbished with 24karat gold surface restored on an 18” gilt silver neck chain for modern wear. Gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
