33 ½” length made from a gnarled limb or sapling. 12 ¼” diamond section blade with remnants of blued finish, seated in a spring catch which releases by twisting the grip. Plated ferule at the joint and metal tip mount (worn and deformed). Dating to the turbulent years of the French Revolution, and War of 1812.
