SUPERB STONE ENCRUSTED TIBETAN PRAYER WHEEL

Ex: Collection of Ilse Byrnes, renowned historian and preservationist instrumental in establishing at least 16 historical sites in Orange county, primarily San Jaun Capistrano, California. 9” height with cylindrical base metal body encrusted with hundreds of polished carnelian  stones in loaf and cabochon forms. Each meticulously hand shaped and polished and set in wire work bands. The top with three additional blue stones. One small stone on the top lacking. The original coiled prayers preserved within the cylinder. These were spun in the belief that each revolution produced an utterance of the prayers within. Finest of these we have seen.
