24” wedge section blade of dramatically active and deeply textured pattern welded steel. Horn hilt, hexagonal through the grip with the top in gnarled foliage below a checkered crest. The opened end with original red cloth filler, perhaps sealing a religious charm or fetish. Single crack to the right side of the grip from tang expansion, verifying its great age.
