Captured during the Insurrection of 1899 and part of the General Harry Bandholtz Collection which won first prize at the 1905 Saint Louis Exposition. 69 1/2” length with forged iron point of elongated leaf showing distinct pattern welded surface texture. Baluster base on banded bronze ferule. Tapered hardwood haft with age crack to the socket. Fine age character throughout and likely a generation old before its capture.
