19th century for snaphaunce musket. 27" length, made of natural cow horn with an elongated conical chamber attached to the large end. That end and the connection encased in the red polished leather associated with Morocco. The medial with two broad raised bands and fine basket weave central band. A buff hide panel (somewhat shrunk) divided it from the balance which is encased in red leather with three raised bands and a matching basket weave band. The leather complete with some staining from use, other wise just some minor blemishes as expected. Largest we have seen and exact type which was used in the fight against French colonization.
