Mahdist War of 1885. 57 ¼” length with particularly finely forged bordered edge barbed point with opposing chisel raised barbs above finely chiseled parallel piped medial with barbed corners and a reeded field with oblique lines, probably a clan symbol or badge. Fine forged seam conical socket. Dark wood haft with lineal age checks as expected and helix iron tape wrapped butt.
