FINE KUBA SPEAR FOR THE ROYAL COURT OR KING'S CIRCLE

$445.00
C.1850-80, a period of great trial and success for the kingdom, when slavery ruled the Congo and the Kuba, through isolation and military might, avoided predation. Classic form with the sophisticated details expected for a royal example. 16 3/4" length, with rounded medial flanked by incised fullers retaining their original two marks. Open seam conical socket (short crack).  Fine patina with proper wear from handling.
