Moghul, probably Lahore. Domed iron skull decorated in a combination of chiseling and etching. The base with a band of cartouches, each with Urdu ciphers, perhaps identifying past rulers, all in gold koftgari in excellent preservation. The field with four large floral motifs overlaid in silver (a little wear) and surrounded by gold foliage matching the base band. Thick pyramidal tip spike with foliage decoration. The front with sliding nasal bar and plume holders decorated to match. Butted link mail falls. The liner renewed for the Dehi Durbar of 1911. 19” total height.
