Good antique example, 19th century or older. Carved antler grip as a mass of scrolls and floral motifs simulating an entwined knot and thus varying from one side to the other.  Twisted wire grip completely intact. Pitch bottom band. 20 1/8” slightly concave wedge section blade with double-stepped tip. Scattered surface rusting, mostly superficial. A heavy early example made primarily for functionality.
