From the Baptist Missionary Society Collection sold in London about 1985. 14 1/2” length. Finely forged with medially ridge leaf shaped point with engraved line border and butted seam conical socket with reinforced edge, The collection traveled to churches in England on “mission Sundays” to raise money for the missions. The presumption was that the owner had given up slaving and the spear upon conversion to Christianity.
