19th century, from the Baptist Missionary Society Collection. 13 ½” length, forged iron with leaf shaped point. Finely forged with a delicate medial offset and  butted seam conical socket. Brown with some very old raised arrested oxidation, undoubtedly there when collected in the late 19th century. Among the “curiosities” which were circulated in England o n Mission Sunday to raise money for the missions.
