The national weapon of Nepal and used throughout northern India by the Ghurkas who rank among the fiercest fighters known. Good example in the traditional form with 10” blade with light original preservative, engraved in large foliage both sides.  Black buffalo horn grip with brass mounts and white metal piques. Black leather scabbard with companion knives and purse to the back. The face with elaborate wire work and imitation stone decoration. Good example made for domestic use.
