Detached head, 14 1/2” length. Leaf shaped point with high medial, transitioning to the conical socket. Fine quality with portion of the wood haft in the socket. By the 19th century, tribal war was about capturing enemies for the slave market rather than territory. Congolese slavers were an amalgamation of various tribes and weapon styles as well, reflecting the diversity of their owners.
