15" four-wave blade of fine dark contrasting lineal patterned steel. The base modeled in relief as a seated king or deity with heavy gold headdress, eyes, beard, arm torques and anklets on a gold platform. All the gold heavy, bright and complete. The upper edge of the blade root with heavy gold tendril. Roped and crenulated silver mendak. Well carved grip of abstracted form with deeply incised demon faces to the underside. Figured wood scabbard. Copper alloy stem embossed in deep relief with foliage inhabited by birds and monkeys. Minor bruises to the plain back of the stem, other wise excellent with expected ageing.
