The left upper tasset plate which attached to the fauld (the lower plate attached to the breastplate flair) and to which the other tasset plates were attached providing articulated protection for the upper thighs. 9 ½” width with low rolled outer edge. The top and inner edge line bordered. The inner edge with a contemporary repair. Two fine multiplex hinged buckles, each of eight pieces including the axels. Ex John Woodman Higgins Museum.
