Probably Nuremberg. Circular, 23 ½” in diameter, the surface with six shallow reinforcing ridges. The edge with rivets originally securing a liner. Central turnip shaped knob. Two pair of rivets for the grips, now lacking. Crisp with considerable original blackened finish. Groups of related examples are preserved in the Landeszeughaus, Graz and Wawel Castle, Cracow.
