3 5/8” length, forged iron with elongated triangular section point on long tapered bolster and tapered tang.  Type developed to defeat the iron chain mail of the Celts as Romans expanded into northern Europe and the precursor of the Medieval bodkin arrow used for the same purpose.  Excavated with some loss to the vein edges as shown.
