Green glass, 2 1/8” height. Heavy core formed construction with cylindrical neck and slightly tapered body. Made by forming a core of plaster or similar material and applying molted glass over the core by dipping, dripping or trailing. Evidently, all three methods were used and the melting of powdered glass is also a possibility. Used with a stopper of waxed linen to hold fragrances, scented oil. This example is textured from desert burial, but otherwise undamaged.
