C.WWI-WWII. Gilt hilt of the Gothic form popularized by the English pattern, with folding side guard. Crowned fouled anchor. Eagle head pommel with feathered backstrap. Wire wrapped white composition or painted parchment grip. 30 3/4” straight broad fullered blade decorated with foliage, military trophies and arms of Italy. Blade quiet crisp. Hilt retains about 50% gold surface.
