18th-early 19th century. Iron hilt of Sindhi form. See Indian Arms and Armour, Pant #301. 27 ½ curved narrow fullered blade with large engraved owner’s seal at the forte. Smooth gray patina overall. Under the Talpur Dynasty, the Sindh resisted British rule until 1843 when they were defeated by the British. This sword dates to the period of independence and resistance to colonization.
