EXTREMELY RARE 18th CENTURY RUSSIAN TRADE SPEAR

$550.00
6 1/2” length with leaf shaped point on butted seam socket. The base pierced for a securing pin. The form of specifically heavy proportions. Very old collection tag which reads, faintly but distinctly Russian G..... il Alaska. The tag itself is probably over 100 years old. Russian owned Alaska in the 18th century though contact was very limited but included some trade for pelts. Iron axes and spears would have been the only commodity suitable for such trades. Exceeding rare if not unique-the only example we have seen including in literature. Museum worthy.
