English hallmarks are required but often marked in places where they are concealed upon assemble. It may be assumed that this example is also London, by the same maker as once patterns are made, multiple identical examples were made from them. The hilt in pelleted open work (pierced) bars. Silver tape and wire wrapped grip and 29 ¼” concave face triangular section blade with foliate decoration panel to the forte. American Revolutionary War period.
