First century AD. 4 1/2” length. Thick medially ridged triangular point on forged seam socket. Specifically made to attack Roman armor. See the group of 33 examples discovered in 2002 at South Cave, East Yorkshire. Purchased in England in the 1990s and almost certainly of English origin. Stable excavated condition.
