This pattern identified in The American Sword (Peterson) as #5 was carried by sergeants immediately after the Revolution and during the War of 1812. The brass hilt has a variation of the “pillow pommel” popular at the time. The grip is reeded American walnut. The blade is 26 ¾” long, broad fullered and retains its original blade seat.
