Seventh Crusade period (1248-1254). See Nicolle fig. 84 for a comparable example excavated at Ras Castle, Serbia. 4 3/4" length, well forged. Barbed point, the tip with medial ridge one side and flat the other. tapered barbs with thickened back opposite the cutting edge. Short spiral twist bolster and butted seam conical socket. Good profile. Darkened from burial and professionally conserved.
