Just under 2” width, oval form. The body of roped or spiral form, modeled in the full round with reeded scroll terminals. The helix or spiral which was a favorite Viking form. Original cross pin. Worn in numbers on the leather war jerkin, at an ounce each, a few pounds could be added providing significant protection against sword blows.
