ROMAN WOMAN’S PENDANT NECKLACE, 200-450 AD

$175.00

Roman women wore necklaces with small pendants symbolizing many things from fruit and sea shells to erotic subjects. This example represents a key hole over a small baluster. Both are architectural elements though the specific reference is now lost. It is about 7/8” height plus the suspension ring. The 24karat gold surface has been restored and it is  suspended from an 18” gilt silver neck chain. Gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
