ROMAN EVIL EYE RING, 2ND-4TH CENTURY AD

$155.00
Size 5 ¼ with near-flat face band, 3.3mm , flaring to the shoulders. The raised bezel with a central “concentric ring and dot” motif, symbolizing the Evil Eye. Roman Pagan religion taught that evil could be bestowed by a malevolent gaze. Protection against such misfortune took the form of amulets, talismans, and rings of which this is one.
