Over 7/8"width (0.91”), The Viking heart in its fully developed form. Waisted medial and quartered nubs defining a saltire. The top pierced with an elegant heart. Two hearts in one! Substantial with high relief decoration, produced by the open face mold technique. The heart stood for bravery, fortitude, loyalty, and integrity, all attributes of the Viking warrior. It is abundantly referenced in Viking literature. Surface textured from burial. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold overlay restored on an 18” gilt Sterling silver neck chain for contemporary wear. Jewelry gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
