Gilt bronze with 2.5mm rounded face band expanding to the pellet cluster embellished shoulders. The bezel as a heart representing the Sacred Heart of Jesus. In the period adoration of the Sacred Heart was largely confined to clergy and monks and not among lay people. See Ancient Rings, Pollio, p.111 for further examples. Professionally refurbished with the silver surface restored for contemporary wear. Jewelry gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity.
