Late 9th-early 11th century AD. Size 3 ¼ for wear on the small finger between the first two joints as was the custom. 3.5mm width, hand-decorated with a medial stipple band flanked by very small dots, all hand engraved. Vikings exchanged rings on the pommel of the groom’s sword. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold overlay restored. Jewelry gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity.
