AMERICAN SKINNING KNIFE

$110.00

Interesting variation. 6 3/4" curved blade with left side bevel false edge and curved back, approximating the original curve of the edge. The tip broken off or made blunt as this knife was used in two hands for fleshing hides-removing the fat and connective tissues from the flesh side. Lathe turned grip with the surface substantially degraded from wet greasy service. The socket with iron wire reinforcement. Great Western Expansion character.
