Head only as brought back by British troops who were limited by the size of their "kit" bags. 18” total length with well forged diamond section leaf shaped point with slightly concave faces. The middle third with large delamination flaw suggesting that this may be one of the original heads made under Shak’s order by forging two of the earlier throwing spears together to form the thrusting assegai. Old stable oxidation with isolated pitting.
