VIKING WARRIOR’S BRACELET, C.850-1050 AD

Silvered bronze, 0.34” (8.9mm) width flaring to the terminals. C form, 2.40” inside dimension. Hound’s tooth borders flanking a central band. The terminals with square geometric decoration panels and transverse bars. Distinctly a warrior’s bracelet, the weight suggests that the owner was a woman. It is well documented that women fought along side men and women’s burials containing swords, other weapons and armor are documented.
