About 2” width, oval form. The ends each with faceted cubes of differing size, probably representing Sol the sun and Mani the moon. Original cross pin. Worn in numbers on the leather war jerkin, at an ounce each, a few pounds could be added providing significant protection against sword blows. See current Public Broadcasting for Vikings wearing a protective brooch. Light texture from burial and the 24karat gold surface renewed.
