16th-18th century. Lathe turned, 4 3/4” diameter of lotus form with raised foot and flared rim. Silver liner encasing the rim Stipple decorated band sheathing the foot. Fine burl wood with mottled dull to glossy surface. Evidence of use to the liner but no damage.  Condition as encountered with the earliest of Tibetan artifacts which were removed from Tibet in the 1950s following the Chinese invasion of 1950. Used in Lamist Buddhist ceremonies for the ritual sacrifice of wine.
