SUPERB WOMAN VIKING WARRIOR’S BRACELET PENDANT NECKLACE, 900-1050 AD

$425.00

The ritual breaking of metal was fundamental to Viking mythology.  Iron rings broken by throwing against rock, were thought to destroy the spirits of enemies. Viking weapons and accouterments were broken for burial with their owners. This is the broken end of a fine Viking woman warrior's bronze bracelet. It is about 3/8” x 5/8”, and hand-decorated by a Viking craftsman, 1000 years ago! The subject is the iconic trefoil stemming from a foliate base or sprig. Professionally refurbished with a 24karat gold overlay restored and mounted to an 18” gilt Sterling silver neck chain for modern wear. It comes with a certification of authenticity, and jewelry gift boxed. Distinguished by its quality, and condition!
