42 ¼” length, made in two stages. Cane haft with three fine split cane is woven bands securing the socket. Long palm wood head, swelled from the socket and tapering to the point. The head deeply serrated in lineal grooves its entire length and coated with a black substance, perhaps a poison, which continues over the socket. Untouched condition with dark patina. Probably 19th century.
