Cow horn, 16 1/2” length with large brass spring cut off spout with a suspension loop. Brass butt mount, dished to facilitate filling. The edge of characteristic scalloped form (two damages) and suspension ring. Pinched threaded wood plug hand incised with Cyrillic ciphers each side. Sound and complete as described. Untouched arsenal patina. Used through the Crimean War and Russo-Turkish War of 1877-8. Very rare.
