Lead, well over ¾” diameter formed as a wheel with eight spokes, heavy tire and the opened hub to receive the spindle. Mounted with a wool clump and spun while the thread is drawn out with the other hand. The form is unmistakably the Wheel of Fortune, which the Goddess Fortuna spun to determine the owner’s fate. It is pierced with a hanging hole indicating that it also was worn as an amulet. As found with soil from burial adhering.
