RARE ROMAN RING 2ND-5TH CENTURY AD

$155.00

Very rare example of a Roman ring of Guiraud type 3. Bronze, size about 3 ½. Shaped as an oval, fuller on the bottom. Raised oval bezel with a punched pattern. The angled shoulders raised and tapered forming peaks at the sides of the ring. Excellent with fine glossy green patina. Roman rings are often oval. This example embodies an extreme of that configuration combined with the complex for the above center identified by the Guiraud system. A rare example for the collector.
