12th-14th century.  Bronze, about 1 ¾” width.  A half head with the other half lacking. Comprising four full spikes. The inside hollowed with the spikes. Originally mounted on a wood haft of about 20” length for use on horseback. Maces of this type were used by crusaders against the lightly armored Saracens.
