MEDIEVAL CHRISTIAN RING C.400-700 AD SIZE 5 ¾

$165.00

Gilt bronze, size 5 ¾ with 3.4mm rounded face band flaring to the shoulders. Raised oval bezel with a six stroke figure forming a “star”, probably a reference to the wheel of fortune with a vestigial hub. That figure was also used to reference the cross and saltire as well as the Star of Bethlehem so the owner was probably a Christian with roots in paganism.  Even today many of those pagan beliefs survive as superstitions. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored for contemporary wear. Jewelry gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity.
