Meiji period, before 1912. 4 1/2” diameter with chocolate exterior and deep green inside. The top with two cranes in flight below a poem. Well detailed in true gold and red. Cranes were considered symbols of longevity believed to live for a thousand years. They are referred to as birds of happiness and symbols of good fortune.  Excellent for the period
