Early 17th–18th century example, later enlisted into the British Army in India after 1857 and fitted with an iron tipped khaki-covered scabbard. Iron hilt of Sindhi form. See Indian Arms and Armour, Pant #301. 29 ½ curved broad and narrow fullered blade. Smooth gray patina overall. Scattered old oxidation This sword dates to the period of independence and resistance to colonization.
