The Shriners are a Masonic Society founded in 1872 to promote fun and fellowship among its members. It is Eastern/Egyptian themed and its chapters are sometimes called temples or mosques. This Shriner’s sword is vintage to antique, probably first half of the 20th century with 25 ½” dramatically curved blade and gilt hilt with ancient Egyptian iconography. The plated scabbard retains both original hanging straps. Carefully used and well preserved.
