Gilt hilt with double shell guards with thickened edges flanking foliate splays. Pieced quillon block with closed ring guards. Knuckle bow and olive form pommel. Silver wire wrapped grip. 32 3/8” diamond section “family” blade remounted from an earlier heirloom weapons as was the custom. The blade with glossy brown patina and surface textured from age oxidation attesting to its hereditary origin. Attractive with fine proportions.
