C1500-1600, gilt bronze with 3.0mm rounded face band and circular bezel inscribed with a medial line, perhaps a cross originally. This ring accords with the sweetheart/engagement rings of the period which bear a heart shaped bezel. This variant possibly represents a four leaf clover which has symbolized good luck/fortune since the time of the Druids. Professionally refurbished with 24karat gold surface restored. Jewelry gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
